Phil Cohen

Vermont native, and prolific songwriter, Phil Cohen has devoted years to fine-tuning his craft by playing countless shows, and even spending a year in the subway stations of NYC to help him supplement funds to attend nursing school. Cohen's 2014 release "Before I Go" travels through a wide range of styles and moods: a seamless blend of folk rock, country, indie, and blue grass. His newest EP "Songs for a '98 Neon" is a collection of heartland rock songs, steeped in the 90's of his upbringing. Cohen's voice is strong and distinct; and his lyrics are unique and compelling, layered by the weathered days of lost loves and existential questions.
